Mumbai: BJP MP Ravi Kishan on Monday urged the central government to take strict action against the culprits involved in drug trafficking which is taking place in the country.
He has also asked the Center to end the conspiracy of those neighboring countries who are supplying drugs to the youth here
Kishan said, “The problem of Kishan trafficking and drug addiction is increasing in our country. Our neighboring countries are contributing to the conspiracy, which is being hatched to destroy the youth of the country.”
“Drug smuggling is done every year in India by our neighbors, Pakistan, and China. It is brought here through Punjab and Nepal,” he said.
Kishan expressed his concern as the film industry is also going through the drug issue.
He said, “It is a matter of concern that drug addiction is there in the film industry as well. It is really sad to see that the stars who are seen as role models and who are influencing people, get drunk.”
Appreciating the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Kishan said, “Recently, many people have been arrested in this case and the NCB is doing a great job.”
He said, “I urge the central government to take strict steps. The culprits should be arrested soon and they should be punished. I will also ask them to end the conspiracy of the neighboring countries.”
