Strict Action Should Be Taken Against Waris Pathan: Digvijaya Singh

Mumbai: Congress leader Digvijay Singh said on Friday that strict action should be taken against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Waris Pathan for his alleged divisive remarks at a rally in Kalooruragi in Karnataka.

In a tweet, Singh said, “This type of comment is made by Asaduddin Owaisi’s brother Akbaruddin Owaisi. There should be strict action against Waris Pathan. Congress has always fought against fundamentalist ideology. BJP and AIMIM complement each other and both spread hatred through religious sentiment.”

Pathan, a former Mumbai MLA, while addressing a rally of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Kalaburagi on Wednesday said that the Muslim community in India is only 15 crore in number, but it can give a befitting reply to a Hindu with a 100 crore majority. Is populated.
