Mumbai: It was do or die Match for both the teams SRH and KXIP both have 10 points in their table but the losing side of this match will lose hopes to reach out playoffs.
Batting first Sunrisers Hyderabad started off very well inform batsman David Warner playing his last match for this IPL season scored 81 runs off just 56 balls. Warner contributed consistently for his team he is also orange cap holder.
Wriddhiman Shah also played well but soon lost his wicket to Murugan Ashwin scored 28 off 13 balls.
For SRH middle order also played well we’re Manish Pandey scored 36 off 25 balls meanwhile Mohammad Nabi contribute 20 runs off 10 balls.
KXIP made a comeback in last 5 overs but due to power-packed performance of David Warner SRH managed to scored 213 runs with the loss of 6 wickets.
For KXIP Mohammad Shami and Ravichandran Ashwin took 2 wickets each following Murugan Ashwin and Arshdeep Singh provided 1 wicket each.
Chasing the huge total of 213 KXIP failed to start the way they use to, as Khaleel Ahmed struck for his side and dismissed Chris Gayle at a very early stage of the innings.
On the other hand, KL Rahul was not able to time the ball but Mayank Agarwal was looking good but the pressure made him choose a wrong shot and lost his wicket to Rashid Khan.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Pooran who played another fabulous inning but… again it was Khaleel Ahmed who dismissed him with a bouncer ball and VC captain of the team Bhuvneshwar Kumar took a perfect catch of the match at third man area.
It was KL Rahul who was building his innings slowly scored fifth half-century of this season once it seemed like KXIP was back in the game as Rahul was hitting the ball well but it was again Khaleel Ahmed who striked for his side and dismissed Rahul who scored 79 off just 56 balls.
David Miller missing his form throughout the season again failed to contribute for his team when it was required the most.
Due to which KXIP managed to score only 167 runs with the loss of 8 wickets and lost the match.
With this win, SRH is at fourth position with 12 points on the table. For KXIP it will be difficult to reach playoffs as they will face CSK and KKR in their home ground Mohali whereas CSK has already qualified for playoffs.
