Mumbai: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said that the death case of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has not been faded away due to elections.
In a recent interaction with Times Now Nitish Kumar spoke about the development in Sushant’s case whose suicide/murder case is investigated by CBI. It was Bihar CM Nitish Kumar who pushed for a CBI inquiry in the SSR death case, said that the federal probing agency is doing its job and there’s nothing now that politics would interfere in.
He was quoted as saying, “The CBI is investigating the case & they haven’t closed the case yet. Let the probe complete.”
In August this year, the matter of SSR’s death was transferred to the CBI after the Bihar government recommended it to the Center and the request was accepted by the Supreme Court. The Bihar government led by Nitish Kumar sympathized with Sushant’s father and assured him of a fair inquiry into the case when the late actor’s father lodged an FIR at a police station in Patna alleging that Rhea Chakraborty and six Other people committed his son’s suicide.
Sushant was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai on 14 June. The Mumbai Police in its initial report noted that the actor was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his room.
Apart from the CBI, two more federal investigative agencies – the Enforcement Directorate and the Bureau of Narcotics Control – handled the case and initiated investigations from various aspects. People on the streets demanding justice for SSR and his family are still waiting for the final results.
