Swaraj Qureshi Meet At UGNA Pak Request To Do So

Mumbai (New Delhi) : The Pakistan has requested to set a meeting between External Minister Sushma Swaraj and Pakistan’s Foreign Affairs Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The meet will held at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York.

Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson, while talking to reporters said that Pakistan has requested and hence the decision is taken to do so.

Newly-elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan had written a letter to PM Narendra Modi on 14 September, seeking to re-establish bilateral talks on issues challenging the relationship between the two neighbours.

However, Kumar said that there has been no official dialogue from Pakistan’s side yet. He further said that External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will raise this issue in her meeting with Pakistan’s foreign minister.

However, the letter which Khan had written to Modi has mentioned about Pakistan is ready to discuss on terrorism.
