Take Out All The Anger On New Zealand In T20 WC, Don’t Leave Them: Akhtar To Pakistan

Akhtar concluded by saying that Pakistan should take revenge by defeating New Zealand and other teams and winning the upcoming T20 World Cup

Mumbai: Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has told the Pakistan team to take out all their anger on New Zealand in their T20 World Cup 2021 clash on October 26

The Black Caps, who decided to tour Pakistan for the first time in 18 years for a limited-overs series, withdrew from the tour a few minutes before the toss, minutes before the first ODI. Later, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) also pulled out of the tour.

Reacting to the setback, former Pakistani fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar pulled up both the countries for pulling out of the scheduled tours and asked Pakistan captain Babar Azam to take revenge on the countries during the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

“So England also refuses. It’s ok guys, see you all at the T20 World Cup.  Specially @BLACKCAPS. Ab painja laganay ka time aa gaya hai. Chorna nahi hai ab @babarazam,” Akhtar tweeted.

Akhtar highlighted how England took Pakistan’s help by boarding the PIA when they wanted help leaving Afghanistan.

“When they need evacuation to travel from Afghanistan to Pakistan, then they remember Pakistan. PIA was not a safe airline for them but they immediately boarded it when they had to leave Afghanistan. England should have at least come to Pakistan to see the arrangement rather than going by what was suggested to them by a company that got a dream that Pakistan is not a safe country. This is tarnishing the image of Pakistan. This is not bearable to any Pakistani,” Akhtar said in a video on his Youtube Channel.

Akhtar said that had he been the PCB chairman, he would have told England and New Zealand that Pakistan was also not interested in playing international cricket with them.

“If I was PCB Chairman, I would have told both England and New Zealand that we don’t want to play international cricket with them. Time has come now where Pakistan cricket stops looking at the world and starts to raise money, begin asset building. The world will not help you. You are portraying that the army is not good enough?” he added.

Akhtar concluded by saying that Pakistan should take revenge by defeating New Zealand and other teams and winning the upcoming T20 World Cup.

“Now at the T20 World Cup, we have a match against India, and there’s a bigger match against New Zealand. We have to take out our anger on the match. The PCB has to first get its selection right, include 3-4 players who should be a part of the team to strengthen the squad. We will take revenge from these guys by not saying anything but by winning the World Cup,” he said.
