Taliban Came With A Very Positive Mind, It Is Supporting Cricket: Shahid Afridi

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has said the Taliban militant group, which has taken over Afghanistan, came with a “very positive mind”.

“Taliban have come with a very positive mind. They’re allowing ladies to work. And I believe Taliban like cricket a lot,” Afridi told the media in Pakistan on Monday.

“Taliban is giving jobs to ladies, supporting cricket and the cricket series against Pakistan as well. Taliban is very positive towards cricket,” Afridi added.

Meanwhile, speaking to the media in Karachi and sharing why he is playing limited cricket, Afridi said: “It is very difficult for players to practice within a biosecure bubble.”

Regarding the controversial Kashmir Premier League, Afridi said that there was a time when all the talent used to come out of Karachi but now KPL is bringing out all the talent.

“There is a dearth of facilities when it comes to cricket, therefore, businessmen should cooperate to promote cricket,” the former Pakistan all-rounder added.
