Taliban Condemns Pakistan For Linking Afghanistan With Kashmir Issue

Mumbai: The Taliban has condemned Pakistan for wrongfully linking the Kashmir issue with Afghanistan. The Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz president Shehbaz Sharif had said, “What kind of deal is this that the Afghans enjoy and celebrate peace in Kabul while in Kashmir blood is shed. No, this is not acceptable for us.”

The Taliban Spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahed however retaliated by saying that this linking will not do any good, “Linking the issue of Kashmir with that of Afghanistan by some parties will not aid in improving the crisis at hand because the issue of Afghanistan is not related nor should Afghanistan be turned into the theatre of competition between other countries.”

The tensions between India and Pakistan rose to new heights when the government of India scrapped the article 370, thus gaining total control of the Jammu and Kashmir region. Pakistan has alleged this unilateral decision of India as illegal and has downgraded the diplomatic relations with India on Wednesday. To which India had replied the matter was an internal issue and hence it wasn’t illegal.

Pakistan has also banned Viewing Indian cultural programs in their territory. The tensions are soaring and with Pakistan trying to pull out every trick against India it is becoming difficult to maintain cordial relations with the opposing country.

One of Pakistan’s ambassador Zahid Nasrullah Khan on Thursday said to Afghanistan, “The issue in Kashmir has nothing to do with the violence in Afghanistan and it is, unfortunately, unresolved” A Pakistan embassy also added that the rift over Kashmir would not affect the peace drive in Afghanistan.
