Mumbai: Tamil Nadu on Tuesday registered 469 new cases of coronovirus, of which the total number of positive cases is 8,42,730.
According to a government bulletin, the total death toll from four deaths increased to 12,391.
Active cases slipped to 4,328.

491 people were cured of the dreaded virus with a total recovery of 8,26,011.
Chennai tops the virus chart with 139 new cases, followed by Coimbatore (53) and Chengalpattu at 37.
No new cases have been reported in the three districts – Perambalur, Sivaganga and Ramanathapuram, while several others have reported single-digit totals of COVID patients.
All four deceased people suffered from pre-existing comorbidities, the release added.
