Tanushree Dutta Slaps 10 Crore Defamation Case On Rakhi Sawant

If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both

Mumbai : The ongoing #MeToo movement has caught the entire film industry into a shock. Many prominent personalities from the industry became a part of these accusations. The movement began with the allegations made on Nana Patekar by Tanushree Dutta of sexual harassment on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss back in 2008. She opened up about the act in an interview on National television. She even said that she was attacked after she tried to leave sets.

Where an official complaint is been filed against the actor Nana Pateka, the investigations are still going on for the same. On the other hand, Rakhi Sawant called Tanushree Dutta a liar in a press conference; she replaced Tanushree in the song of the movie Horn Ok Pleass. She said many things about her and said she is just cooking up stories against the actor. Replying to the allegations, Dutta filed a defamation case on Rakhi Sawant of Rs. 10 crore. We have filed a criminal and civil defamation case against Rakhi Sawant for maligning my client’s character and image. If she fails to revert, she will be punished for two years or fined or both,” said her lawyer Nitin Satpute to Republic TV.

Nana Patekar stepped out of Housefull 4 and was also questioned by CINTAA after being summoned for sexual harassment. He stated that Tanushree’s allegations are ‘motivated’ and ‘malicious. After Tanushree’s Me Too story many women’s came up with their stories where many well-known personalities from the industry including Sajid Khan, Alok nath, Rajat Kapoor, Kailash Kher and many more came forward.
