Team India Is One Of The Strongest Side In The World: Rassie Van Der Dussen

Mumbai:  India is all set to take on South Africa for their third and final T20 match of the series. India is ahead by 1-0 after the first match washed out due to the rains.

Meanwhile, South Africa’s batsmen Rassie Van Der Dussen termed India as one of the ‘strongest’ sides in the world.

“When we came here, we knew it was going to be tough. India is clearly one of the strongest teams in the world and we are embracing that challenge,” Rassie told reporters.

In the second T20I, South Africa scored just 23 runs in the last three overs and the score was reduced to 10-15 runs.

“The credit should go the way India bowlers bowled in the final overs. We would not have capitalized and had 10-15 runs short, 165 would have been a good score.”

“The last game has not been good but we have learned a lot and we are definitely better prepared for this time,” he said.

Team India includes a number of young bowlers for the South Africa series, however, Racy said that many players have experience playing T20 cricket, if not international.

The South African batsman said, “They are inexperienced in international cricket, but we know that they have played T20 cricket, especially in their circumstances.”

Talking about the trio of Dhawan, Rohit, and Kohli, he said: “They are world-class players and probably the best T20 batsmen. Virat and Rohit are run scorers and it’s a big challenge for us.”

South Africa will take on India in the third T20I on Sunday.
