Telangana Minister KTR Slams PM Modi Over His Promise For ‘Achhe Din’
Mumbai: Telangana minister KT Rama Rao slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not living up to his promise of ‘Achhe Din’ and said, “8 years ago…you had promised Achhe Din.”
Working President of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) posted PM Modi’s tweet of May 16, 2014, on Twitter and said, “Dear Modi ji, 8 years ago on this day you promised Achhe din.”
Criticizing further, he said, “What has your government given – Rupee at its lowest (against the dollar) at Rs 77.80, highest unemployment in 45 years, the highest inflation in 30 years, highest LPG price in the world, Worst economy in the 42 years. Well done sir.”
Earlier, KTR criticized the Center for asking states to reduce VAT (value-added tax) on fuel and demanded the central government abolish the cess on petrol and diesel across the country.
The TRS leader blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Center for the rising prices of petrol and diesel.
