Mumbai: Telangana recorded 2,043 fresh coronavirus cases and 11 fatalities, taking the number of infections in the state to 1.67 lakh.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most cases with 314, followed by Rangareddy 174 and Medchal Malkajgiri 144, a government bulletin said on Friday, providing data as of 8 am on 17 September.
The cumulative recovered cases stood at 1.35 while 30,673 are under treatment.
One commander was among those who have recovered from the virus here.
On September 17, 50,634 samples were tested. Cumulatively, 23.79 lakhs have been tested.
The Bulletin stated that the sample was 64,104 per million population.
Coronavirus mortality in the state was 0.60 percent, while at the national level it was 1.61 percent.
The rate of recovery in Telangana was 81.02 percent, while in the country it was 78.84 percent.
Meanwhile, total coronavirus cases rose to 52,14,677 in India while the number of deaths from the virus claimed 1,174 lives in 24 hours to 84,372, shown at 8 am.
