Mumbai: The state government said on Thursday that Telangana reported 509 new COVID-19 cases amounting to more than 2.79 lakh, while three plagues brought the toll to 1,505.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) accounted for the most cases with 104, followed by Medchal Malkajgiri (45) and Rangareddy (42), providing details in the bulletin as of 8 pm on 16 December.
On Wednesday, 7,172 patients are undergoing treatment and 48,652 samples were tested.
Cumulatively, more than 63 lakh samples have been tested.
The Bulletin stated that the samples tested per million population were more than 1.69 lakh.
The case fatality rate in the state was 0.53 percent, while at the national level it was 1.5 percent.
The recovery rate in Telangana was 96.89 percent, while it was 95.3 percent in the country.
