Terrorists Want To Spread Fear Among People In J&K DIG On Grenade Attack

Mumbai: At least 10 personnel were injured after suspected terrorist hurled a grenade outside the deputy commissioner’s office in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on Saturday.

A senior police officer has said that it was an attempt by terrorist’s to include fear in the mind of people in Jammu and Kashmir.

DIG of South Kashmir AK Goyal said, “ Terrorist lobbed a graned at around 10:30 am today, in Lal Chowk area of Anantnag. 10 person was injured and one of them is a traffic police constable”.

He also said that Terrorists wants to spread the atmosphere of fear among these attacks.

He said, people were busy on their work when this attack took place. This was done with an objective to spread fear and terror among people”.

No outfit had so far claimed responsibility for the attack. This is the second attack on security forces in the Kashmir valley since the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status.
