Thai king Vajiralongkorn Marries Bodyguard Making Her Queen

Mumbai: A few days before his official coronation, Thailand’s King Maha Vajirlongkorn married the Deputy Chief of his personal guard force on Wednesday and gave her the title of Empress Suthida.

The announcement was made in the Royal Gazette, later the footage of the wedding ceremony was later shown in the Royal News segment broadcast on all Royal TV channels of the night.

66-year-old Wajirlongkorn, also known as King Ram Xi, became a constitutional monarchy after the death of his revered father, Raja Bhumibol Adulyadej, in October 2016, after 70 years on the throne.

He will be officially crowned in Buddhist and Brahmin ceremonies on Saturday, followed by a procession from Bangkok the next day.

On January 3, 1977, Vajirlongkorn married Princess Somasual Katyakara (born 1957), who was the first cousin of his mother.

When Vajirlongkorn was introduced to Yuvvida Polpresar, she was an ambitious actress. She became her steady partner and she gave birth to her first son, Rajkumar Juthava, Mahidol on August 29, 1979.

Wajirlongkorn married Srirasamy Suwade (Royal name: Akhongprachecha) for the third time on February 10, 2001, a common man of minor background who was in his service since 1992. Marriage was not disclosed until the beginning of 2005. On April 29, 2005, she gave birth to a son, Prince Dipankorn Rasmage, and then she was transferred to the position of Princess.

In November 2014, however, a letter was sent to the Waziralongkorna to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the family of Princess Sriraswamy was stripped from the royal name, which was given to Akalongoppacha, honoured after allegations of corruption against his seven relatives it was done.

On May 1, 2019, Vajiralongkorn married his first Coroner Commander Suthida, the Royal Thai Ad-Day-Camp, for the fourth time, three days before his coronation.

Prayuth Chan-Ocha was among the prominent people present at the wedding, who was the leader of the military junta, who had seen footage of marriage since Thailand’s coup in Thailand, as well as other members of the royal family and palace advisers.
