Mumbai: Police on Friday said that a 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped and strangled to death by her father in Thane’s Bhiwandi.
The 34-year-old accused was arrested for the crime that took place on Thursday, police said, adding the accused strangled the girl to death with a piece of cloth.
According to the police, the accused allegedly raped the girl and later strangled her to death with a piece of cloth.
The victim’s body was sent to a government hospital for post-mortem and a case was registered under IPC sections 376 (rape) and 302 (murder) and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. Told.
