“Thank U ‘Baz’igar” Says Shah Rukh Khan To Brendon McCullum On Bday Wish

Mumbai: As superstar of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan celebrated his 54th birthday on Saturday. Shah Rukh as he is fondly known as is the owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Wishes poured in from cricket fraternity for Shah Rukh with former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum also posting a message for the Bollywood superstar on Twitter. 

Brendon Mccullum played for KKR in the early years of IPL. The memorable innings that he played in the inaugural season of IPL I.e, in 2008 vs RCB he hit 158 runs off 78 balls including 13 gigantic sixes and 10 fours that led KKR to win by 140 runs.

McCullum previously had said that he is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan, he wished him by tweeting, “A belated Happy Bday wish to the Boss @iamsrk Fun, kind, loyal and inspiring! Hope you have a great day and thanks for believing in me always.”

To which Shah RUkh Khan gave a reply in his own style by tweeting, “ “Thank u ‘Baz’igar!! (You might have to look that one up).

IPL superstars Pandya brothers also have a great connection with SRK. Krunal Pandya also wished him by tweeting a photo of both Pandya brothers with Shah Rukh Khan. Replying to his tweet, Shah Rukh wrote, “Thanks. Both of u continue hitting those sixes long and hard.”
