“The Accidental Prime Minister” Box Office Collections : Anupam Kher Keeps Up The Chase In Cinemas

Pune : Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna starrer “The Accidental Prime Minister” have made a collection of approximately 10 crores in two days at the box office, according to the trade specialists it’s quite up to the mark. Anupam Kher has expressed satisfaction with the collections of the film and has left for USA to shoot for his American show. 

Director of the Media Advisor Sanjay Baru’s book “The Accidental Prime Minister”, based on the tenure of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, was the soul of the project as same title was taken by director Vijay Gutte for the biopic. However, experts believe that many such facts have also been introduced in the film to enhance the drama, which is not in Baru’s book. The Accidental Prime Minister, released on January 11, dispite of controversies, the film made a turnover of ₹ 4.50 crore on the first day, while on the second day i.e. on Saturday, its collection grew slightly and collected 5.25 crore. In this way, the film has collected ₹ 9.75 crore in 2 days.

The film also received mixed reviews from critics and now the response of the audience is mixed. The film’s biggest highlight was Anupam Kher’s acting. He worked very hard for Dr. Manmohan Singh’s body language, which he mentioned many times in his interview too. But, some of the people who have seen the film are now talking about Anupam’s claims.

On the other side, social media is been loaded by videos in which Anupam Kher version of Dr. Manmohan Singh is compared to the former Prime minister in a lot of aspects like voice and expressions, etc. There’s also a lot of politics being practiced low key through the movie. There were reports of rioting in some parts of the country on the release day. Angry people at multiplex in Kolkata torn off the screen.

Meanwhile, the future of the film will be determined by the audience. But, talking about his performance till now, Anupam is happy and now has become busy for his further works. Anupam also shared on social media that he is flying to New York to shoot his American television show.
