Mumbai: Immediately after the Modi government introduced the report of the CAG on the Rafael deal in the Rajya Sabha, Union Minister Arun Jaitley had an oral attack on the Congress and other opposition parties.

The most important thing finding in the CAG is that the NDA’s Rafael deal was kept cheaper at 2.8% than the previous UPA government’s agreement, Jaitley said, “We are standing (NDA government). It blown away the big lie which was being persecuted by the Congress.”

“The Supreme Court has satisfied itself, the CAG has satisfied itself, the government stands vindicated. The matter doesn’t finish here, the people have to punish those who misled the country. This is exactly the repetition of 1989,” Jaitely said.

Arun Jaitely also said”In 1989, when the Congress government led by Mr. Rajiv Gandhi was involved in corruption, he constructed a saint kit against Mr. VP Singh. Now, because Modi’s clean image, they create a crisis.”

Earlier on Tuesday Jaitely tweeted saying “In relation to the Rafale deal where thousands of crores of public money has been saved, a new falsehood is manufactured on a daily basis.”
