There Is No Problem Between Me And Rohit, I am Tired Of Clarifying It: Virat Kohli

Mumbai: Indian Test captain Virat Kohli, while talking about his relationship with India’s full-time captain Rohit Sharma, said that he has no problem with him and is committed to Indian cricket.

Sharma, who replaced Kohli as the T20I captain of Team India after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021, was also announced as India’s ODI captain recently. Also Read: Was Contacted 1.5 Hours Before Selection Of Test team: Kohli On Being Removed As ODI Skipper

Addressing a press conference ahead of the Indian team’s departure to South Africa, Kohli said he has already clarified that there is no dispute with Rohit and no action will be taken on his part to humiliate the team.

“I have no problems with Rohit. I’ve been clarifying this for the last two years. I’m tired of it. Any action or communication from me will never be to demean the team. I’m committed to Indian cricket,” Kohli said.

The India Test skipper further said that the South Africa series in 2018 was the start of their journey towards winning matches and series abroad and hoped that they will now achieve the same in the Rainbow nation, which they haven’t before.

“Very motivated to win a series in South Africa. We have not done that before. We will do our absolute best to make it happen,” Kohli mentioned.
