There Should Be Dialogue In Parliament With Open Mind: PM Modi

Mumbai: Ahead of the monsoon session, PM Narendra Modi on Monday said there should be a dialogue in Parliament with an open mind.

“I urge all the MPs to contemplate deeply and discuss,” said Modi outside Parliament House.

Modi said Parliament works and takes the best decisions with everyone’s ‘prayas’ (efforts) and urged MPs to make full use of this session.

He said that the monsoon session is also important as elections for the post of President and Vice President will be held in it today.

“Voting for the presidential election is taking place today. During this period, the new President and Vice President will begin guiding the nation,” he said.

The Prime Minister said that this period is very important as it is the time of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

He said, “August 15 and the coming 25 years have a special significance – when the nation will celebrate 100 years of independence. This will be the time of our journey and resolve to scale new heights.”

The centre is likely to introduce as many as 24 Bills during the Monsoon Session which will end on 12 August.
