This Is Modi Government, We Will Bury Terrorism In ‘Patal’: Shah

Mumbai: Union Home Minister Amit Shah took a strong stance against terrorism on Sunday, declaring that no stone pelter or terrorist will be released in Jammu and Kashmir, and ruling out any dialogue with Pakistan until terrorism is completely eradicated from the region. Shah made the remarks during an election rally in Nowshera, held in support of Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina.

Addressing the rally, Shah directly criticized the National Conference (NC) and Congress alliance, accusing them of seeking the release of stone pelters and terrorists. He responded firmly to NC leader Farooq Abdullah’s statements about the revival of terrorism in Jammu hills, warning, “This is Modi’s government, and we will bury terrorism deep inside the earth (‘patal’). No terrorist or stone pelter will be released.”

Shah further asserted that the Modi government will not entertain any talks with Pakistan, rebuking calls from the opposition for dialogue with the neighboring country. “I want to tell Farooq Abdullah and Rahul Gandhi that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan until terrorism is wiped out. I will talk to my lions – the youth of Jammu and Kashmir – and not with Pakistan,” he said, referring to the region’s young generation as “lions.”

The Home Minister also highlighted the government’s efforts in enhancing security for border residents, including the construction of underground bunkers for their safety. However, Shah expressed confidence in the country’s defense capabilities, stating that in the future, such protective structures may not be necessary. “Nobody has the power to open fire from across the border. If they fire a bullet, we will respond with a shell,” he asserted.

Shah’s comments come at a crucial time as Jammu and Kashmir gears up for elections, with the BJP positioning itself as a party committed to eradicating terrorism and ensuring long-term security in the region.
