Those Who Leave Party After Staying For 40 Yrs, Their Souls Are Dead: Raut

Mumbai: Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Monday clarified that his “40 bodies will come from Guwahati” and quoted Ram Manohar Lohia as saying “the souls of those who left the party after 40 years are dead.”

“I will repeat it, “those who stay in a party for 40 years and then run away, their souls are dead, they do not have anything left in them”, these are the lines said by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia. I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s sentiment, I just told the truth,” Raut said.

Notably, Raut on Sunday targeted the rebel MLA camp led by Eknath Shinde, who camped in Guwahati, saying that “40 bodies will come from Guwahati and will be sent directly for post-mortem”.

“When bodies of these forty MLAs will arrive, they will be directly sent for postmortem,” Raut had added. His statements created controversy for ‘issuing life threats to the rebel MLAs.’

The Shiv Sena MP today further said that he tweeted a video of Gulabrao Patil talking about ‘those who replaced their father’ with reference to the rebel MLAs who quit the party. ,

I tweeted a video of Gulabrao Patil’s speech in which he is talking about people who change their fathers. My tweet is for the people sitting in Guwahati. Patil said in his speech ‘People eat and drink and have fun with the party and then change their father, we aren’t like them’,” Raut said.
