Three New COVID-19 Cases In Arunachal, Tally at 16,815

Mumbai: A Health Department official said that the COVID-19 rally in Arunachal Pradesh turned to 16,815 on Wednesday as three more persons tested positive for the infection in the state.

State Monitoring Officer (SSO) Drs. Lobsang Jampa said two fresh cases were reported from Changlang district and two from the Capitol Complex area.

He said that a new case was detected by the TrueNat method and through two rapid antigen tests.

A total of 1,075 health workers received shots of the COVID-19 vaccine in the first few days of vaccination in the state, Jampa said, adding that the vaccination program was temporarily halted on Tuesday.

According to him, 891 people were vaccinated at the inauguration of the nationwide vaccination program on 16 January, and 184 people got work on Monday.

The state has so far received a total of 32,000 doses of the Covishield vaccine from the centre.

On Tuesday, eight more people were cured of the disease, which totalled 16,707, the official said.

The recovery rate of coronavirus patients in the state is currently 99.35 per cent.

There are now 52 active cases in Arunachal Pradesh, and 56 people have died due to infection so far.

The most active cases in West Kameng district are on 23 and Changlang on 7.

There are 11 active cases in the capital complex including Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli and Banderdewa region.

The official said 3,88,013 sample tests have been conducted so far in the state, including 322 on Tuesday, the official said, adding that the positivity ratio is 0.30 per cent.
