TMC Behind Violence In Kolkata, Not BJP, Says Shah

Mumbai: BJP President Amit Shah accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of creating violence in the state and alleged that the Election Commission remained “mute”.

He said, “I would not have escaped unhurt without CRPF protection when his convoy was allegedly attacked in Kolkata on Tuesday.”

He said that violence in all six phases of Lok Sabha elections in West Bengal has taken place.

He said, “BJP is contesting elections in all the states, there has been no violence, but there is violence in West Bengal because TMC is contesting there … it is simple,” he said.

Shah accused TMC of “goons” inside a college for the vandalism of Lord Chandra Vidyasagar, saying that it was done to get “sympathy” because the party led by Mamta Banerjee realized that its “countdown” Has started.

He also alleged that the Election Commission has kept “double standards” and it is partial for the Trinamool Congress.
