TMC Visited Goa With A Suitcase Of Money To Buy Leaders: Fadnavis

Mumbai: BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said that Trinamool Congress came to Goa with a suitcase to put forward their expansion plan but Goa leaders are not up for sale here.

“TMC brought a suitcase for people to buy but the people of Goa are not ready to sell them. In Goa, the TMC had forged an alliance in vain. Goa has already rejected their aggressive politics of TMC,” claimed Fadnavis.

Hitting out at the Congress, the BJP MLA alleged that the Congress believes in ‘corrupt politics’ and also that due to the alleged corrupt politics, Congress leaders have ‘cancelled’ the Congress for the BJP.

“BJP believes in good governance and stable governance. From Manohar Parrikar to Pramod Sawant, everyone worked hard for the upliftment of the people of Goa. Congress on the other hand only believes in corrupt politics,” said the former Maharashtra chief minister.

Meanwhile, the BJP declared its list of candidates for 34 constituencies for the upcoming assembly elections to be held on February 14.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will contest from Sankelim, while Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar will contest from Margao.

BJP spokesperson Urfan Mulla claimed that the BJP does not do “divisive” politics for which everyone is given equal opportunity to contest elections.

TMC however had released their candidate’s list for 11 constituencies on Tuesday. TMC who has an alliance with Maharashtra Gomantak Party (MGP) will contest in 31 constituencies and MGP will contest from 9 seats.
