TN CM Contributes ₹10 Cr For Relief Work In Telangana After Floods

Mumbai: Expressing concern over the floods in Telangana, Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami on Monday ordered a contribution of ₹10 crores for relief work.

Further, he also assured that the Tamil Nadu government is ready to render any other assistance as may be required by the Telangana government.

Palaniswami made his Telangana counterpart K. Wrote a letter to Chandrasekhar Rao, stating, “On this difficult time, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government and the people of the state, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family members of all those who have lost their lives in the rains and floods.”

The Chief Minister said that heavy rains and unprecedented flooding in Hyderabad city and parts of Telangana have caused extensive damage to property and killed people. “Your efficient and quick handling of the disaster and your government’s response in providing relief and rescue work to the people has reduced the adverse effects of the flood immediately,” Palaniswami said.

The Chief Minister further said that in his time of need support and solidarity of the government and people of Tamil Nadu with the government and people of Telangana in their hour of need, Rs 10 crore would be contributed to the Telangana government. “We are also sending blankets and mats as relief material to the affected families,” he added.
