Pakistan violated ceasefire in civilian sectors of Rampur as well as nearby sectors. Indian Army retaliated to it but one Junior commissioned officer along with a civilian died in this firing.
Author Arundhati Roy slammed on ‘Ranga-Billa’ comment
Author Arundhati Roy asked people to give wrong information to government officials when they come for NPR data collection. 1726 arrested in Kolkata on Christmas eve:
In order to maintain peace, law and order on Christmas Eve and New Year festive Kolkata police arrested around 1726 people under different crimes. Crimes including Triple riding, riding without a Helmet, Drunk Driving, rash driving and as such. Around 126 were arrested under non-bailable offense.

A week after the Anti-CAA protest violence in UP, Meerut administration has started recognizing the vandalizes and issued notice 517 arms, license holders.
