Total Number Of Coronavirus Cases In India Rises To 694; Death Toll Reaches 16
Mumbai: According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India reported 88 new COVID-19 cases, the highest in a single day, taking the total nationwide tally to 694.
The number of people who have been cured or discharged stands at 44 while the active COVID-19 cases stand at 633 and the death toll in the country has surged to 16.

According to the ministry, sixteen people have died in one case.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockout across the country to combat the spread of coronavirus, saying “social disturbances” are the only option to combat the disease,
