Mumbai: A 41-year-old man tested positive for the novel coronavirus here on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 positive cases in the state to 60.
The patient, who is a resident of Ladakh, had an evacuation from Iran that landed in Jodhpur on Wednesday. He is currently admitted at MDH Hospital Jodhpur.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced a 21-day lockout across the country to combat the spread of coronavirus, saying “social disturbances” are the only option to combat the disease, which spreads rapidly.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has confirmed a total of 1071 COVID-19 cases in India.
