Trinamool has a “Syndicate Morcha”: Nirmala Sitharaman

Mumbai: Union Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday strikes out at the ruling party The Trinamool Congress, claiming the ruling party in the state a ‘syndicate morcha’ as compared to other parties.

Sitharaman said, “Unlike other parties where women’s wing, youth wing and other types of fronts exist, I feel that TMC has only “syndicate morcha” and Didi (Mamata Banerjee) runs a ‘tolabaji’ here through this “syndicate morcha”. That is why police cannot do anything in West Bengal. There is Narada-Saradha here.”

In the rally, she even said that TMC stands for Tushtikaran (appeasement), Mafia and Corruption.

Our President says that Trinamool Congress’ T stands for Tushtikaran (appeasement), M stands for Mafia, C is for Congress/Corruption. Congress means Corruption,” she added.

In support of BJP, Nirmala Sitharaman was addressing the rally in Medinipur Lok Sabha seat contestant Dilip Kumar Ghosh. While on the other hand, Trinamool Congress has appointed candidate namely Manas Ranjan Bhunia while the Communist Party has named Biplab Bhatta, Sambhunath Chattopadhyay from Congress and Ramkrishna Sarkar from Bahujan Samaj Party.

Medinipur is one of the 42 Lok Sabha constituencies in West Bengal.

The voting for Lok Sabha Election 2019 for all seven phases is being held from April 11 to May 19.

The voting for Lok Sabha Constituency sixth phase in Medinipur will be held on May 12 and counting is on May 23. The Medinipur parliamentary constituency comprises of seven assembly segments namely Egra, Dantan, Keshiary (ST), Kharagpur Sadar, Narayangarh, Kharagpur and Medinipur.
