‘Tumhara Moosewala Kar Denge,’ Says Threat Letter Sent To Salman Khan

Mumbai: The threat letter received by actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan allegedly stated, “Tumhara Moosewala kar denge (you’ll end up like Moosewala).”

According to Bandra police, the letter was left on a bench at Bandstand Promenade, where Khan goes for a walk every morning.

“Khan has been sitting on the same bench every day for several years. On Saturday morning, when he went to the bench, his bodyguard noticed the letter on it and brought it to his notice. Khan opened it and saw that it had a single line written on it in Hindi, saying that he and Salman would soon meet the same fate as murdered singer Siddhu Moosewala,” said an officer with the Bandra police station.

Khan later went to the Bandra police station and handed over the letter. The police recorded his statement, following which an FIR was registered in the matter.

Zone IX Deputy Commissioner of Police Manjunath Singe said, “We have registered an offence of criminal intimidation under the Indian Penal Code against unknown persons and are investigating.”

The police suspect that the accused is also a regular visitor to the bandstand and is well aware of Khan’s routine.

The report said closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage is being scanned for any suspects while patrolling has been intensified around Khan’s residence as well.
