Turkey: 30 People Injured In Istanbul Earthquake

Mumbai: A 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Istanbul on Thursday injured 30 people Vice President of Turkey Faut Oktay said on Friday, “At list 30 people have been injured in an earthquake in Istanbul.”

According to the European Mediterranean seismological Center, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake shook western Turkey on Thursday. It’s Center was 68 kilometres west of the capital of Turkey.

Faut Oktay said that 473 buildings were damaged on this earthquake, “Around 34 citizens were injured in which, 10 are still being treated and 24 have been discharged from the hospital.”

He also said that 473 buildings have received minor damage and following the earthquake, there had been aftershocks, the strongest being 4.1 on the richer scale.
