Under Leadership Of PM Modi Indian Economy Jumped From 11th Position To Sixth Position Globally: Amit Shah

Mumbai: In a recent development, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit in Lucknow and also laid the foundation stone of over 250 projects worth Rs 65,000 crore.

Speaking on this occasion, Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has dreamed of “New India”, which would be a model of a $ 5 trillion economy and good governance for the world.

“The vision of the Prime Minister’s Transforming India is to touch the lives of every citizen and make India one of the top three economies of the world. Modi dreams with his eyes, and those who do so do not sleep till his dream is complete. Within the last five years, the Indian economy has jumped from 11th place globally to its sixth position in its leadership, which is unprecedented in the history of the country,” he said.

The Home Minister also cited the steps taken by the center for easy governance by establishing a model of good governance. The improvements like “GST – One Nation, One Tax”, simplification of laws, business ranking, and competition among the states have contributed in bringing the economy back on track and there has been a significant increase in FDI.

Within the last five years, India has climbed up from 142 to 77 on the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business rankings,” he asserted

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also graced the occasion on Sunday along with other dignitaries and industry stalwarts.

While praising the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Shah said that “In the 14th Finance Commission, the Yogi Government received Rs 8.8 lakh crore from central funds for development works, which was an important leap from the previous allocation and assured the investors. Not only that the state government but the central government is also committed to revising all the investments in the state to the new level.”

“Within the next five years, Uttar Pradesh will be on the top in ease of doing business rankings and socio-economic development profile among the states in India,” he said.

Addressing the gathering, Adityanath thanked Prime Minister Modi for laying down the vision of developing India into a USD 5 trillion economy.
