UP CM Lays Foundation Stone For Ram Mandir’s Garbhagriha In Ayodhya

Mumbai: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath laid the foundation stone of the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Chief Minister participated in the ‘Shila Pujan’ ceremony for the construction of the sanctum sanctorum on Wednesday.

He also inaugurated Sri Ramlala Sadan, a Dravidian style temple at the site. Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and saints and mahants of 90 monasteries and temples associated with the Ram temple movement were also present at the ceremony.

While talking to the media, the Uttar Pradesh CM said, “The construction work of Ram temple in Ayodhya was started by PM Modi almost two years back. The work is successfully proceeding and we are fortunate that the ritual of keeping the stones in the Garbhagriha has been initiated today.”

CM Adityanath further stressed that Ram Mandir will be the national temple of India. “People have been waiting for this day for a long time. The Ram temple will be a symbol of India’s unity,” he said.

Nripendra Mishra, chairman of Ayodhya Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti, has said that the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya will be completed in three phases by 2025.

“Work on the superstructure begins today. We have a three-stage time frame (for completion of works) – Garbhagriha by 2023, temple construction by 2024 end, and main constructions at the temple complex by 2025,” said Misra said.
