Mumbai: Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Bharatiya Janta Party on Friday announced an alliance with Nishad Party and Apna Dal.
The declaration was made by the Union Education Minister and the election in-charge of BJP for the state Dharmendra Pradhan.
Addressing the media in Lucknow, he said that the alliance will contest the polls together under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath.
“Apna Dal will also be part of BJP-led alliance for the 2022 Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh,” the BJP election in-charge of the state,” Pradhan said.
Along with Pradhan, UP BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh in Lucknow was present at the conference and made the declaration.
“BJP will contest the 2022 Assembly polls in alliance with Nishad Party under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendra Modi,” Swatantra Singh added.

The seat-sharing among the parties is still to be announced.
The other big parties In UP like Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samajwadi Party and Congress have announced to compete alone. Aam Aadmi Party is also set to make its debut in Uttar Pradesh alone in the upcoming polls.
UP assembly elections are scheduled in February and March next year.
