Mumbai: Officials informed on Tuesday that 20,463 fresh COVID-19 cases have been registered in Uttar Pradesh took the total tally to 15,45,212, while 306 people have died.
However, Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Amit Mohan Prasad said that the number of active cases in the state has decreased by more than 94,000 in the last 10 days.

As of 30 April, there were about 3.10 lakh active cases while the number is currently 2,16,057.
Prasad said that 29,358 COVID-19 patients were recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total number of patients in the state has increased to 13,13,112.
So far, over 4.34 crore samples have been tested in the state, including more than 2.33 lakh samples that were tested on Monday.
