UP Urges People To Celebrate Chhath Puja At Home, Follow COVID Protocol

Mumbai: The Uttar Pradesh government has issued an advisory for Chhath Puja in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, advising people to perform rituals at their homes or nearby, as much as possible.

However, the government said that arrangements would be made by the local administration at traditional places near rivers/ponds for worship. People should follow the COVID-19 protocol, such as wearing masks and following social distinctions, the government said.
