US President Donald Trump Claims He Has Won The Election Despite Counting Still On

Mumbai: Claiming that he has won the presidential election, US President Donald Trump said, “I want to thank the American people for their tremendous support.” “The results have been phenomenal…Such success.”

“The citizens of this country have come out in record numbers to support us,” he added.

Counting of votes is underway in several states including Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina.

Speaking in the East Room of the White House, Trump told a limited gathering: “I thank the American people for their tremendous support. A very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise (people who voted for me) and we won’t stand for this… The results tonight have been phenomenal.”

Trump also thanked his family and friends and said, “We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything, and suddenly it was closed.”

“This is a hoax on the American public.” It is an embarrassment for our country. It is a very sad moment for me, a very sad moment, and we are going to win it, ”he said.

Trump suggested a legal challenge to the results and said he would go to the Supreme Court.

The president said, “We are going to the US Supreme Court. We want all voting to stop. We do not want them to find any ballots at 4 am and add them to the list.”

“As far as I am concerned, we have already won this, so I want to thank all my supporters and I would like to thank all those who worked with us,” he said.

He also talked about his impending win in another swing state of Pennsylvania. Earlier, Democratic rival Joe Biden too had claimed the lead in the crucial state.
