Video Shows Man Caught For Drunk Driving Abusing Mumbai Constable, Says ‘Father Is DSP’
Mumbai: A video that has recently surfaced on social media has garnered widespread attention, showing a Mumbai police officer maintaining his composure while being verbally abused by a drunken man. The incident, which took place in Lokhandwala, Andheri West, on the evening of August 15, has led netizens to applaud the officer for his calm and professional handling of the situation.
The altercation occurred after a car collided with a motorcycle, prompting bystanders to call the police. Upon arrival, the on-duty officer was met with aggression from the car’s driver, who began pushing and hurling insults at the policeman. In the video, the visibly intoxicated man is heard using multiple curse words in Hindi and threatening the police officer, claiming that his father is a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and warning of repercussions if any actions were taken against him. Despite the abusive language and the man’s aggressive demeanour, the officer remains calm throughout the confrontation.
The video also shows frustrated commuters requesting that the road be cleared, but the enraged driver refuses to allow anyone else to speak.
