Mumbai: Amazon Prime Video releases trailer of Vidya Balan’s upcoming film ‘Shakuntala Devi.’
The trailer of the biopic on real-life genius ‘Shakuntala Devi’ starts off loud, praising Balan, who plays the lead role of a human-computer in the film.
As the trailer moves forward, Balan appears on the professional front winning as a mathematician, acknowledging his intelligence with the world and her ability to solve even the most complex mathematical equations within minutes.
Genius Strike’s highest achievements when she records her name in the Guinness World Record and also falsifies computers with her mathematical skills.
The trailer then introduces Zeeshan Sengupta as Balan’s love interest, whom she marries and gives birth to a daughter portrayed by Sanya Malhotra in the film.
Further the trailer tells the story of a bitter-sweet relationship between the mother-daughter duo, as Malhotra accuses Balan of prioritizing mathematics over her relationship with her daughter.
The film also stars Amit Sadh in a pivotal role.
The screenplay is written by Anu Menon and Nayanika Mahtani, while the dialogues are written by Ishita Moira.
The flick was previously slated to hit the big screen on 8 May, but cinema theaters were shut down due to a coronavirus outbreak.
