Virat Kohli Get Vaccinated, Asks Fans To Follow Suit

Mumbai: Indian captain Virat Kohli received his first dose of vaccination on Monday. The Indian captain recently returned home after the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 was suspended indefinitely by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

After returning home, Kohli, along with Anushka Sharma, donated a sum of Rs 2 crore in India’s fight against Covid-19.

In his Insta post, Kohli shared the image from the centre with a caption that read, “Vaccinate as soon as you can please. Stay safe.”

Kohli recently took to social media to thank all the frontline activists in the medical department who were risking their lives to help COVID-19 patients

“I have nothing but gratitude for all the healthcare & frontline workers, I am in awe of their spirit and dedication. I also want to thank all the people who came forward in such difficult times & helped each other. India is grateful to have heroes like you,” the Indian captain posted on social media.

Earlier on Friday, Kohli and Anushka launched a fundraising campaign for COVID-19 relief assistance in the country. The star couple urged their fans to come forward and donate to help the needy in times of crisis.

Within 24 hours, the campaign received a total of Rs 3.6 crore in donations. Kohli and Anushka thanked their fans on social media for their contributions.
