During the match, a section of the Indian crowd was seen hostilely welcoming Steve Smith of Australia, and Kohli then turned to the crowd and asked them to cheer for the Australian.

India and Australia played at The Oval in London. Some Indian fans started to take pride in Smith and chant “Cheater, Cheater”.

Kohli, who was batting at the time, took note of this and was clearly not happy with the gestures of the fans.

Showing his classy side, the Indian captain turned to the stand and pointed at the fans to cheer for Smith and not be boo him.
