Watch PM Narendra Modi’s Emotional Message To Varanasi People

Mumbai: Looking forward to the Lok Sabha election, PM Narendra Modi tweeted that in an emotional video, he was declared him as a ‘Kashi-resident’ and sought his blessing to pave the way for the Lok Sabha elections for the second term from the seat.

PM Narendra Modi said that his relationship with the holy city is very strong because he had come here many times in the last five years and it is believed that if a person comes here once, then he should be an integral part of the city.

Modi said that it was a matter of great satisfaction for him that he was in the service of the city, whose patron deity Lord Vishwanatha was.

In his appeal, the Prime Minister mentioned the development that changed Varanasi and its neighbourhood and cited the construction of highways, railway stations and multi-model terminals on the Ganges river.

However, Modi said that there is still a lot to be done, one task, which he said, will meet with the people so that the pace of development does not stop.

“I know every Kashi resident is contesting for Narendra Modi,” he appealed to voters to participate in the biggest festival of democracy and appeal to voters to make a record.

In 2014, Modi won the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat, defeated Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal by a huge margin of 3.37 lakh votes. Modi secured 5,16,593 votes in almost half of the total votes, while Congress’ Ajay Rai stood third.

Varanasi polls will be held on May 19 in the last phase of Lok Sabha elections of seven phases beginning April 11 in Varanasi.
