WB Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Calls Upon Opposition Parties To Unite Against CAA

Mumbai: Following the ongoing protest against CAA and NRC WB Mamata Banerjee has called all opposition parties and senior leaders of the country to unite against the Citizenship Amendment Act and sought to chalk out a plan to ‘save the democracy’.

In a letter to chief ministers of states ruled by opposition parties and senior leaders of major opposition parties, Banerjee said: “Let us all meet and make a concrete plan to protect and protect our democracy.”

Today I am writing this letter to you with serious concerns in my mind. Despite the citizenship and creed of this country, especially the women and children, farmers, workers and members of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, OBCs, and Minorities are in the grip of fear and terror for the Citizenship Amendment Act and the proposed nationwide NRC the situation is very serious, ”Banerjee’s letter said.

Today, more than ever, we need to rise against this staunch regime in a similar way. I sincerely and sincerely request all our senior leaders and all political organizations to stand in a united and united manner against it; Let us create peaceful and meaningful opposition to these unholy efforts by the Center and save the Indian democratic soul.
