Mumbai: Intervening the on-going Indo-China border tensions, Nepal says that they are confident that their neighboring countries will resolve their differences in a peaceful manner.
In a statement released by Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they said that Nepal is confident that our friendly neighbors India & China will resolve, in the spirit of good neighborliness, their mutual differences through peaceful means in favor of bilateral, regional & world peace and stability.
It also said that Nepal maintains that disputes between the countries should be resolved through peaceful means and Nepal has always stood firmly for regional and world peace.
Tensions on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) increased after a violent clash between both the armies in the Galwan Valley.
For the first time in the past 5 decades, such a violent clash took place along the LAC, where 20 Indian army and 40 PLA soldiers were martyred.
Since then, India has activated all its airbases alongside the LAC.
