We Are Not Preparing For War, Says Pakistan Army Major General

Mumbai: Denying the reports of Pakistan is preparing for the war against India, Pakistan Major General Asif Ghafoor said we are not in the mud of war.

“We’re not preparing for war. It’s you (India) who is sending war threats. We’re not preparing for initiating a war but we have a right to respond to the war threats from your side,” Major General Asif Ghafoor, DG ISPR, Pakistan Army was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

This comes after media reports in India that Pakistan has started working out its war logistics as the demands for action against the neighbouring country are growing louder and louder day-by-day in the wake of Pulwama attack. It may be noted here that India has already decided to revoke the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to Pakistan and mounted a diplomatic offensive to isolate it in the international community.

“We do not wish to go for war but please be rest assured should you initiate any aggression-first you shall never be able to surprise us, let me assure you we shall surprise you… we have the ways and the means to attain what is desired. I hope you (India) get this message and don’t mess with Pakistan,” ARMY spokesperson quoted by ANI news agency.

India has claimed that since JeM, which is located in Pakistan, had claimed responsibility for the Pulwama attack itself, there is no need for further evidence.
