We Were Almost There! Proud Of Our Scientist: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy Praises ISRO

Mumbai: All eyes were on ISRO as India was all set to create history but all that dreams shattered as Vikram Lander lost its communication with ISRO while it was just 2.1km away from moon surface.

India failed to create the historic event, but the whole country praised ISRO and Indian scientist. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday greeted and appreciated Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) for their ‘exemplary efforts’ and asserted that the nation is standing with ISRO at this hour.

“We were almost there! India is proud of our scientists. A minor setback in the last stanza is a stepping stone for success. The nation stands with ISRO team at this hour and appreciates the exemplary efforts,” Reddy tweeted with an emoji of clapping hands.

The Vikram lander was planned to land on the far side of the moon between 1:30 and 2:30 pm on Friday-Saturday midnight. After this between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm, the rover (Pragyan) would roll-out.

ISRO lost communication with Chandrayaan’s Vikram Lander 2 moments ago, as it was preparing to make a soft-landing over the South Pole region of the Moon.
