Mumbai: Rebel Sena leader Eknath Shinde has posted a letter on Twitter with a number of complaints against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

Amid Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s appeal for reconciliation, Eknath Shinde today shared an “emotional” letter written by rebel Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Shirsat, describing ally NCP and Congress as the “real opposition”.

“Despite being the state’s chief minister of Shiv Sena, party MLA Varsha did not go to the bungalow (chief minister’s residence). People around the CM used to decide if we can meet him or not. We felt we were insulted,” the letter read.

“While we were not able to meet the chief minister, our ‘real opposition’, people from the Congress and the NCP, used to get an opportunity to meet him and even be given work-related money in their constituencies.”

The rebel MLAs have also mentioned in the letter that the party had stopped them along with other MLAs from visiting Ayodhya during Aaditya Thackeray’s visit to the holy city.

The letter said, “When Hindutva and Ram temple is important issues for the party, why did the party stop us from visiting Ayodhya. The MLAs were called and stopped from going to Ayodhya during Aaditya Thackeray’s visit to the holy city. ”

According to sources, a total of 42 MLAs from Maharashtra are present at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Guwahati along with Eknath Shinde. This includes 34 MLAs of Shiv Sena and eight Independent MLAs.

Besides this, a resolution signed by 34 MLAs by the Shiv Sena legislature party that rebel leader Eknath Shinde will continue as the leader has been sent to state governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari.
